At Home With Malo. Muse Ani Lata:
With one of the most chic minimalist aesthetics on the gram, and the cutest little boy Idris, we go at home with mama muse Ani Lata @ani.lata and talk beauty, fashion and how she gets one of the most oh-so-glowing skin we have ever seen!
Ani (short for Sulainy) has a way of capturing visual imagery that in it's simplistic form is so beautiful and minimalist, it will have you wanting to buy 10 tortoise shell hair clips with a side of Bare Skinfood. Not to mention a hundred cute outfits for your little one, as sported by adorable son Idris. (And yes, Ani's instagram did in fact inspire me to buy just that hair clip!)
You have such a chic aesthetic. How would you describe your style?
Simple and minimal are what comes to mind. I just love the beauty that's found in simplicity and I enjoy exploring ways to capture products or moments in their most natural form. I'm still trying to find my niche in this creative world but I'm having fun figuring it out.
Little Idris is so adorable and always on trend. Do you have a favourite children’s brand for him?
Aw thank you! I definitely put way more effort into his wardrobe haha. Some favourites are Sunday Club, Bud the Label, OAT, By Billie, Tiny Trove, Earthside Minis and Mīere the Label just to name a few.
Your skin is simply gorgeous! Do you have a go-to skincare brand?
I must admit, my skincare routine has been non-existent since becoming a mum but I'm currently working on the whole self-care journey. I came across the brand Bare Skinfood at the start of the year, decided to try it and haven't looked back!
Do you have a favourite perfume? How would you describe the scent?
I'm on the hunt for a new scent but Chanel Coco Noir has been my go to for many years. It's woody and musky with a hint of rose. I just find those warm/woody smells sexy.
Once lockdown is lifted, where’s the first place you would want to visit?
First of all, my heart goes out to those who are in a lockdown. My DMs are always open to anyone who wants a chat.
I'm in WA and have been pretty lucky. I would love to go back to Canada! My husband and I had the most amazing time there. Experienced so many firsts and great memories so we really want to be able to share that with Idris. Honestly if it were up to me I'd pack up and leave but you know, reality haha. You have an eye for beautiful textiles. If you had to choose; cotton or linen?
Cotton in winter, linen in summer. Modest fashion in the heat isn't easy so breathable material is definitely a must.
