Find out why Kakadu Plum is a skincare superstar:

What is Kakadu Plum and why do we include it in our formulas?

Kakadu plum also known as Billygoat Plum, Gubinge or Murunga is a Native Australian fruit that grows in Northern Australia and has quickly become an antioxidant superstar in the beauty industry.

It has the highest source of natural vitamin C along with vitamin E, folic acid and carotenoids, which work to gently reverse the effects of free radicals, helping repair sensitive or compromised skin.

Why is it beneficial to babies skin?

Kakadu plum is a wonderful source of naturally derived reparative compounds that are antifungal and antibacterial which is why it was used as a traditional medicine by Indigenous Australians to treat a variety of skin concerns, infections, and wounds for centuries.

It has been proven to help repair a compromised skin barrier which is important when repeated nappy changes and increased cleansing can leave your babies skin sensitised, irritated and in need of some TLC.

Which MALO products have Kakadu plum?

When paired with other beneficial ingredients such as glycerin, our favourite humectant, sunflower oil which is fantastic for reactive, reddened skin and the nourishing apricot oil as in our award-winning nappy rash spray, it creates a powerful yet gentle barrier to help maintain your babies' supple, soft skin whilst ensuring their skin stays healthy and nourished, nappy change after nappy change.
