Sonya's Top 3 Must-Have Baby Products

Sonya's Top 3 Must-Have Baby Products

Second time around I didn’t feel as prepared as my first. I had hyperemesis so I was in and out of the hospital constantly, and sick all the way through my pregnancy. I also went into labour spontaneously 2 weeks early, so the nursery wasn’t complete. But thankfully, early on I made these three purchases that I am SO glad I did! They became my most used products the last 6 months, and what I wished I had the first time around.

  1. The Leander Change Mat.
    • This was a bit of a splurge. At first, I loved it because It was aesthetically pleasing, and we all know I am about the minimalistic chic look. However, this change mat came to be a godsend! No more washing change mat covers. It is surprisingly soft (and warm to the touch during winter), and it meant I could quickly change baby and simply wipe down the mat when done. It is the one thing I am so glad I purchased and would highly recommend to anyone. I bought mine from Metro Baby, one of our amazing stockists in Melbourne. (I've got the rose colour). Check them out here.
    1. Ben & Ellie Change Mat Clutch.
      • I have been following these ladies for a long time now. It’s no secret I am a huge fan of their brand, they were one of the very first businesses I interviewed. It was one of the first purchased I made when I found out I was pregnant. It came beautifully wrapped and felt like a gift to myself. I didn’t realise just how much I would use this change mat, every day! No exaggeration, I have travelled overseas with it, and almost feel a sense of panic if I think I have forgotten it at home. I absolute love how it holds just enough nappies, our Nappy Rash Spray, wipes and some other bits. And I can change baby Bella on the go anywhere. (I've got the Black on Black colour).  You can check it out here.
      1. Baby Loves Sleep Newborn Swaddle Wrap
        • This wrap was a game changer in the newborn days. I don’t know how I swaddled my first baby without a product like this. You know how babies wriggle out of everything? Well not this wrap! It has inbuilt pockets for the arms, which means you can snuggly place the arms inside and then easily wrap baby so they feel nice and warm. Like a mini cocoon. Its super generous size means we continue to use it until today (Bella is now 6 months old). This is my absolute favourite wrap. You can check it out here.
